Lauderdale By The Sea is old Florida-style paradise that offers a tranquil coastal getaway along with easy access to nearby larger cities. The small village sits on the ocean just to the north of Fort Lauderdale and to the south of Pompano Beach. The Intracoastal Waterway is the western edge of Lauderdale By The Sea. A quaint downtown district just completed a remarkable transformation making the main street more pedestrian friendly. The beach is anchored by a pavilion for seating with showers, and plenty of off-street parking is located within two blocks.
