Living in Fort Lauderdale

Writing about living in Fort Lauderdale is a blessing because the area offers so much diversity in its residents, in its housing, and in its amenities.

No story about Fort Lauderdale would be complete without beginning on the beach. Along highway A1A you will find the beautiful beaches stretching for miles – nearly un-ending from towns north like Pompano Beach and down to Hollywood.

Along the beachfront roadways of Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, and the famous Galt Ocean Mile, high rise condominiums are the most common. Pockets of newer 2-story homes, townhomes, and condos can be found in all neighborhoods if something more modern is to your liking.

Why Fort Lauderdale?

What used to be the sleepy in-between metro between Miami and Palm Beach is now a destination of it's own. Crowned the "Venice of America" owed to the miles of canals and the Intracoastal Waterway, Fort Lauderdale is now the boating capital of Florida.

Is Spring Break your vibe? Fort Lauderdale knows how to throw the parties from the opening of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show until the final gasps of Spring Break.

Looking for something more laid-back? North and south neighborhoods offer sprawling lots and spacious homes. And of course, waterfront condominiums dominate the beaches.
